Starting off on the right note !

Batucada style music was how we began our school year. During the first week of school, the children participated in an ensemble called a bateria in order to learn and perform Batucada music, which is an African-influenced Brazilian percussion style. In addition, the teachers and students researched different styles of music during classroom time.

At the end of the week, the children performed their newly learned songs, much to the delight of their parents! This music professor also teaches at the Saint-Martin d’Uriage music school.
